Wow! Can you believe the end of February is here? I sure can't. Here is the other half of week 8. This layout like all the others is made with Weeds & Wildflowers Life365 kit.

Feb 27

Here is the first half of week 8 of my Project365 layout. I almost forgot to take a couple of pictures this past week... but luckily I remembered. By June I might be having difficulties staying on top of taking pictures. I hope everyone else who is doing this project is having fun with it!

Feb 25

I was playing around with Osten Wilkins' "Garden Party" kit. He always has such fun elements. I used an old picture of my oldest daughter with her husband (at that time fiance). I want spring to get here, hence the bright colors and flowers! lol

Feb 24

After Christmas I uploaded pictures to the computer and found that Clarice had taken a bunch. This was one of them. I love the perspective and just had to scrap it. I used a kit called "So Chic" by Teri's Thing-O-My-Jigs

Feb 23

This Valentine was made using Club Scrap's 2009 Promotion kit. This ended up being one of my favorite paper kits of Club Scrap's when it came out. I was so happy when they came out with a digital version. Club Scrap gave this kit away when they called for a Creative Team. I forgot to play. lol

Here is another Valentine that I made. I used KimB's (at DSO) kit Heart Felt.

Feb 21

Here is the other half of my weeks layout. The kids are laughing their heads off that I'm still taking one picture a day. But I have enjoyed the challenge of finding that "just right picture". Not the perfect one, but a unique one and maybe even one that needs to be taken.

This is Rachel with her 2 favorite music profs after her Senior Tuba recital. They have been a great inspiration for her in continuing on in her music. The top picture is Rachel and her Tuba instructor who is also the conductor of the Orchestra. The bottom picture shows her with the Wind Ensemble conductor. She has also taken conducting lessons from them and have been her 2 main instructors while working on her Masters. I used two kits by Osten Wilkins. His "Modern Woman" kit and his "Tortured Love" kit. They work together quite well!

Feb 19

Here is Valentine #2. I used Linda Walton's (aka Bon Scrapatit) kit "A Love For All Seasons". I love the soft pastels of it. It would be a wonderful kit for spring photos as well.

Feb 18

Dude (aka Osten Wilkins) has had a challenge going at his forum. He offered 8 different embellished hearts that match his new kit "Tortured Love" if you made him Valentines. One Valentine a day will get you a heart. I'll be sharing the Valentine's that I made. This first one is made with Osten's "Be Mine, Valentine" kit. My idea is for next year to print them up on matte photo paper and mount them on a 5x5 inch card, embellish with "real" stuff and then to give to my friends and family. Pretty kewl that I already have them designed! lol

Feb 17

Here is the first half of week 7. I have really been enjoying this project. I'm going to love going back at the end of the year and seeing everything I took pictures of. It will be nice too to have commentaries on different items in our house that have special meaning.

Feb 16

This is made using Osten Wilkins' new kit "Tortured Love". Such a fun kit. It has a red, black, pink, magenta and grey color scheme.

I laugh every time I look at this layout. I'm strange and like to play around with kits to see what I want to use before I pick out a picture. I do this when I scrap with paper as well. I got this layout done and found this beautiful picture of a deer that roams our neighborhood with it's mom and sibling. The journaling says, "One of the 3 deer that ate on my roses. So much so that I didn't get any blooms." By the end of the summer we had 5 deer that came through our yard eating our roses, tomatoes, petunias and apples. This is much too beautiful a layout to commemorate the rose eating deer, but the picture fit! lol

Feb 14 layout

This was for a template challenge at DSO. I used KimB's (at DSO) kit Hearty Tarty to make it. The word art is also by KimB from her Words for You set. I found while doing this layout that I didn't have very many pictures of Rachel and Nathan together. So when I'm with them the next time with my camera I'll be taking as many pictures of them as I can!

I finally had a chance to edit my pictures so that they're not too big to upload. All 3 of the cards are made out K & Co's Berry Sweet paper pack, grand adhesions and felt stickers. These cards are so easy and quick to make and with the double sided paper there is no stamping involved! They're also very versatile. I've made Christmas cards, Autumn/Thanksgiving cards as well as Birthday and I'm Thinking of You cards. This time I made them as Valentine cards for the ladies in my Bible Study group. The stamped sayings on the inside are Club Scrap stamps.

The first card is based on instructions from SplitCoastStampers.

The second & third cards are made from instructions that were bonus techniques in a couple of the Technique Junkies newsletters. You can find info about that newsletter at Patstamps in my favorites list on the right. Her blog is awesome too!

Yippee!! I'm staying caught up on this challenge. It is sooo hard to get those pictures into layouts. I know I moaned about that before but this is my biggest challenge. I love to take pictures and take lots every day but getting pictures into layouts is something else all together. I haven't done any paper scrapbooking for months. I made some cards recently and I'll try to get those posted soon. I found some cute K&Co paper at Fred Meyers and had to play and make a few Valentine cards.

Another layout of my husband. This was also a challenge in a forum that I frequent... a font challenge. I used Osten Wilkins' He's all Mine kit.

Feb 11

This was for a challenge in a forum that I frequent. Philip and Kirsten were goofing off as usual as I took the picture while Jamie has a sweet expression. I thought it was hilarious and so typical of my kids! This is a kit by Kim Smith, an exclusive that she is giving out at Osten Wilkin's forum.

Feb 10

I love this photo of my youngest and her best friend Robbie. These two have been friends for most of their lives. Their oldest sisters are best friends, their oldest brothers are best friends. Kirsten's oldest sister is married to Robbies oldest brother. That is where I got the title for these two layouts. The first one I used Osten Wilkin's kit Be Mine, Valentine. The 2nd one I did for the Color Challenge at DSO using pieces from various kits that were offered for the challenge. I couldn't decide which one I liked better so I'll print up Kirsten's favorite for her and the other one for Robbie.

I really enjoy playing with Osten's kits. He has lots of cute elements. This is his Autumn Falls kit. For Thanksgiving, my husbands family (3 brothers and their wives and kids and his parents) all come to our home for the feast. We have a wonderful day together.

Feb 8

I love this picture of my 2 youngest daughters and their cousin. The girls had so much fun that summer doing crafts and swimming. They made the flip flops they're wearing (a closeup of them in a previously shared layout) as one of the projects that we (my sil & I) had for them to do. I used a Collab kit called It's a Sassy Summer, Dude by Osten Wilkins Designs and Sassy Designs.

Feb 7 layouts

Well, I'm all caught up now... at least on layouts! lol I do hope I'll continue to stay caught up. When the weather turns nicer I might not have as much time since I have garden beds to weed and get ready.

Feb 6 layouts

I'm posting both of my week 4 layouts today. Clarice's challenge to me has been really good for me. Making myself do a layout (or 2) a day has made me see I can accomplish a lot more than I thought I could. Now if I can only get rid of my cold! And if only I could get back into making cards!! lol

Another layout for Feb 5

Here is a layout I did the other day. Just wanted to play with another kit that I have. I really have a ton of chores to catch up on but it is so much more fun playing. This kit, "Doodle Love" is by Jen aka Chaos Lounge. I really like her kits. Lots of fun elements to play with.

Feb 2 & Feb 3 layouts

Here are Week 2 layouts for Project 365. My family has been having fun checking out the photos I've been taking. Week 3 layouts will have pictures of my family when I get around to posting them! lol So many everyday things around the house are just begging to be photographed. So I've been trying to do those since I always take pictures of my kids. Same kit as Week 1.
