I'm sorry I've been missing. My older brother passed away last Friday and I've been in Oregon helping my other brother and sister take care of business. I might be sporadic for awhile until all of that stuff is taken care of.

March 26

This is a quick page that I found in my folder. I really like using these when I'm strapped for time, but still want to get some pictures onto pages. This one is by Linda Cumberland. These are my 2 youngest boys a year a half ago.

March 25

Here is Clarice painting on her walls. It is a slow process, but I'm sure that she will finish one of these days. I'm thinking that since next week is Spring break that I might help her. I used Chaos Lounge's Out of Africa kit. The colors are so Clarice! lol I think that she will like the layout when she sees it.

March 24

I used the same kit by Lorie Davison for this layout as well. We have had so many days with snow this year... it is pretty incredible and mind boggling. I made my own cluster for this layout using some of the awesome elements from the kit.

March 23

This layout is made using Drifting Snow Dreams by Lorie Davison from ScrapbookGraphics. It is sooo perfect for snow pictures.

March 22

I used a quick page from Lorie Davison's Drifting Snow Dreams kit at Scrapbook Graphics for this layout. Sunday was a day of many activities! lol So I needed something quick and easy for a layout.

March 21

I am so glad Spring is here. Now I know that warm weather will be here in a month or two. This is my 2nd half of week 11. Once again the Life 365 kit from Weeds and Wildflowers.

March 20

Here is the first half of week 11 of my Project 365. I again used Weeds and Wildflowers Life 365 kit. It has been much harder this month getting my pictures taken and layouts done. Thank goodness for the incentives at Weeds and Wildflowers! lol

March 19

Here is another photo that I found while browsing my folders the other day. My middle son is just as goofy in front of the camera, especially if it is his older sister holding the camera! To do this layout I used Baubles-n-Scraps kit Paisley Passion. I love the warm colors.

March 18

I was rummaging through my photo folders and found this one of my oldest daughter. Oh my, she was hilarious that night. All my kids get pretty goofy when the camera is in my hands. I used
Doreen Stolz' kit You are So Beautiful. The alpha is from Weeds and Wildflowers Breath of Fresh Air kit.

March 17

I did this layout for scraplift challenge. I used Heidi Kulp's (aka Scrappin Brat) Floral Fusion kit again.

March 16

I have too many girl kits! Guess I need to go digging in my digital stash for some boy kits to play with so that my boys will get scrapped! This kit was a collab called Hop Skip Jump by the-lily pad designers for the Daily Digi files that was available Feb 14 -March 15. Lots of kewl colors of papers and elements. I just might be able to pull one off for the boys out of this kit. I guess I should challenge myself to do that.

March 15 layout

This layout used Gina Marie Huff's (at Weeds and Wildflowers) kit Breath of Fresh Air. This is a really versatile kit. I love that I've already used it twice! Clarice is sooo goofy. She has always loved being in center of attraction... which is a good thing since she would like to major in music at this point in her life.

March 14 layout

Ok, my life took a turn to the extremely busy! Clarice, Thursday evening, decided to break out in hives. Nothing serious, it was just her bodies reaction to a virus that she is fighting. My life on the computer got put on hold for awhile to take care of a sick girl. The layout for today is about some of my flowers that bloom in my yard. These were taken in the spring of 2008. The kit I used was Spring Fever by Patricia Christensen at Weeds and Wildflowers. The brackets are a cu item by KimB at DSO. I did another layout that I'll be posting in a few moments.

more cards

These 3 cards were made using some cute paper that I found by DCWV. The card base is Club Scrap card stock. All I had to do to these cards was add ribbon, bling, a few flowers by Prima and some Sizzix butterflies. They all say happy birthday on the inside. I'm planning on using them for some little girls birthdays.

March 12 layout

Here is the first half of week 10. I am really getting excited about the wonderful scrapbook I'll have when the year is done. It will be lots of fun reading next year and years down the road what we're documenting today. It will also be nice in the future having some of the things that are special around the documented.

2 more cards

Here are the last 2 cards that I've made from the Costco paper. I used Cuttlebug embossing folders on each of the them. The first one I ran Stewart Memories Dark Blackberry ink over it to highlight the embossing. The card base for both cards is Club Scrap card stock as is the plain green and dark purple. The card base is the grey from the Varsity kit and the purple and green are scraps that I had... the green is from Mirror Mirror and the dark purple from Milestones. The purple ribbon (which matches in real life), rhinestone brad and the metal butterfly are from my stash. The flower was cut with Sizzix except the dark purple felt flower on top which is by American Crafts.

Diamond Fold Card

Here is another card made with that paper from Costco. I used the diamond fold stencil #2 from Hot Off the Press. I have so many supplies and tools from years ago that I decided to challenge myself to use it. This stencil is one of those items. I've always liked the idea of these little folds, but either I didn't have the right colors in vellum to match my cardstock or I didn't have double sided paper. I really like how this one turned out. The sun sticker is also from my ancient stash. It is by Stickopotamus. Some of my tools I look at and wonder why in the world I bought it! lol

March 11

I did this layout for a font challenge at Club Dudes. I mostly used stuff from "Fall Leaves Fall" a collab kit by Chaos Lounge and Bonnie VonEsch. This sunrise was glorious. I was able to get several pictures of it.

2 Cards

This card and the next one was made out of paper that I found at Costco. I didn't buy the pack for the paper but for the accordion file zippered case that it came in. When I got the paper home I wasn't real thrilled with it but of course I can't waste it either. :) So here are some of what I've done with it. I'll be posting another card tomorrow that used some of this paper too. I don't know who the manufacturer is since I threw that part away! lol The top card I stamped with a Club Scrap stamp using StayzOn Timber Brown. I then painted it with Twinkling H2O's and sprayed with Chestnut Brown Glimmer Mist.

For this card everything is from that paper except the yellow and pink flowers which are Prima flowers. The flowers are topped with a rhinestone. The colors are much prettier in real life. By the way, both cards were made out of the same sheet of paper. Amazing how they can photograph so differently.

March 10

This was another one of my daffodil pictures that I took last week... right before the hail and snow came. I used Weeds and Wildflowers kit A Breath of Fresh Air.

March 9

For this layout of last years hanging basket I used Heidi Kulp's (aka Scrappin Brat) Floral Fusion kit that is an exclusive at Club Dude (aka Osten Wilkins forum) in his subscriber section. If you're a member of his forum you will receive a mini kit of this kit by Heidi.

March 8

This layout was done for a challenge at Dude's Place (aka Osten Wilkins Forum). I used Chaos Lounge's Whimsical Winter kit. The sun was from her Fall Leaves Fall collab kit with Bonnie VonEsch. The paint swishes are from Weeds & Wildflowers Life 365 kit. All 3 of these pictures were taken on the same day. I took the picture of the daffodil in the morning when it is sunny and glorious. In the afternoon it started hailing and which turned to snow. We're getting more snow today... at least it isn't sticking!

March 7

Here is the other half of Project365 week 9. Using as always Weeds and Wildflowers Life 365 kit.

Friday, March 6, 2009

March 6

Here is the first half of week 9 of my Project365 layouts. As always I have used Weeds and Wildflowers kit "Life 365" for this layout. They have a great incentive to help you stay on track. If you stay up to date on your layouts, every 2 weeks you receive a free "Hodge Podge" of items that match the kit. On the incentive day you post your layouts in the thread . You can check it out in their forum.

March 5

Another layout using the Floral Frenzy kit by Scrappin Brat. These are flowers from my daughters wedding. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. Specifically, these are from the large bouquet that sat on the alter during the ceremony. The journaling lists almost all of the flowers. I'm sure that I left a few out since I was doing it from memory.

March 4

These are the flower girls at my daughter's wedding. Aren't they sweet? I used Scrappin Brat's new kit "Floral Fusion". This kit is the club subscription kit at Club Dude (Osten Wilkins Designs forum). Heidi is giving out a mini kit to members of the forum.

March 3

I really love how this layout turned out. I used the kit "Serenading Spring" by Mel's World.

March 2

I love this picture that my brother-in-law took of my oldest daughter at her wedding. Such a soft picture. I used a mask on it before I layered it on the paper. Kit used is "Mystical Rapture" by Osten Wilkins.

March 1

The kit used for this layout of my middle daughter is from Digital Divas Designs. It was their February DAD kit called "A Morning Kiss". The bead string was from Osten Wilkins' "Garden Party" kit, the safety pin was from Chaos Lounge's "Climbing Trees" kit, the arrow was a CU from Chaos Lounge and the doodle border is a CU by KimB.
