Sept 20

Here is another layout using Osten Wilkins Designs new kit Funny Business.

Sept 19

This was also for a template challenge at Osten Wilkins' forum. This was a different twist on the template challenge. You were given template shapes, the scissors, paint brush, pencil, paper strip, frame, thumbtacks, paper clip, measuring tape, a hand print and of course the background paper, that you then had to make a template to share while using all of the shapes. I filled my template in so that people could see what could be done. The thumbtacks and measuring tape came out of the Back2School Blog Train kit and the rest of it came out of Kim Smith's kit SkoolDayz.

Sept 18

This layout was for a template challenge at Osten Wilkins' forum. Lots of fun challenges going on this month. I used the Back2School Blog Train kit.

Sept 17

This layout uses Osten Wilkins Designs new kit called Funny Business. It is a darling Circus kit. There are multiple parts to this kit that I am showing below. He is giving away pieces in his forum if you're a registered member. The above picture shows those pieces.
He also has an Embellishment challenge going that if you do a layout for and upload you'll get a posting bonus.

If you're a ClubDude subscriber you get the above kit for the month. Isn't it fun?

The piece above you can find on his blog. And he has the Main Event kit for sale at his site along with a Tickled Pink add-on and an add-on paper pack as well as some glitter styles for PS. If you end up with it all you'll have 232 pieces in all to play with.

Sept 16

I have had this kit for some time. Actually, I forgot that I had it. I love the colors in it and was thinking that I would use it for pictures of my youngest, but somehow pictures of my roses made it in instead. The pictures are from August of this year. The kit is Tea Party by Studio SussieM. I used a template by SugarPlumPaperie.

Sept 15

Another fall layout using a picture from 2 years ago. Did I mention I can hardly wait for fall? lol I love this time of year. I used a template by TwinMomScraps and Studio Natali's kit The Whisper About Fall.

Sept 14

I can hardly wait for Autumn to get here. We always have lovely warm (not hot) days and cool nights. The past couple of years our fall color has been absolutely gorgeous and hopefully it will be this year too. The kit used for this layout is by Studio Natali called the Whisper about Fall.

4 new cards

I have been enjoying the Wild Saffron papers and embellishments by K&Co. As you can see I've made 4 more cards. The card stock base is all Club Scrap paper. Card # 1 card base is from the English Garden kit, the aqua color mat from the Serengeti kit and the dark brown strip is leftover Bazzill paper. Card #2 base is from the Wild Wild West kit, the mat is Bazzill paper. The tan base on card #3 is from the Country Fair kit with a brown Bazzill mat. And the yellow base used for card #4 is from the Wings kit with brown Bazzill paper for the mat and trim. The sentiment on card 4 is by The Paper Company.

Sept 13

Here is another layout of my middle daughter's trip to Pennsylvania and Washington DC. I used another kit and template from this months Daily Digi file. The kit is called Downtown Loft by AW Designs. Template is by Janet Phillips. The paper was so rich and lovely that I didn't think the layout needed any other embellishments.

couple more cards

Both of these cards were made using Bazzill card stock and K & Co paper and stickers. The first card uses K & Co's Wild Saffron and the 2nd card is their Very Berry set. Wish I knew the colors of the Bazzill but, I have had it for at least 5 years and the labels are gone. I'm sure they were from the monochromatic sets.

Sept 12

Here is a first day of school layout. I decided to take the pictures as they were walking away from me to school. Usually I have the kids stand on the front porch and take the picture with all of them. This year however they are in different schools; one in grade school, one in middle school and one in high school and they all get up and leave at different times. I used another kit out of the Daily Digi file that is available for purchase this month. The kit is called School Stuff by Pamela Donnis. The arrows and push pins are from Weeds and Wildflowers Life 365 kit.

more cards

A couple more simple cards made from K & Co's Berry Sweet collection of papers and elements. Yellow card base and pink card stock are by Bazzill. I have really missed making cards. Now if I can get the rest of my craft room put together I might get my fall table runner finished in time to use this year. lol

Sept 6

Here is the 2nd half of week 35. Everything from Weeds and Wildflowers kits.

Sept 5

I'm finally getting around to posting my project 365 layout. This first half of week 35 uses Weeds and Wildflowers Life 365 and Gingham Gallop kits.

Sharing Cards

I finally have an area cleaned up in my new craft room to work on my favorite things... cards! Both cards were made using Bazzill cardstock for the base, don't know the color except that it is from an old monochromatic yellow set, and K & Co Berry Sweet paper and embellishments. The eyelet border was cut from a Fiskars border die-cut. The pink cardstock is also Bazzill paper.

The first card is a congrats card for a new mom and her baby girl. I love those little sock monkeys.

This second card is a Thinking of You card.

Sept 4

Today is a bittersweet day. I've been missing my parents so much and today would have been their anniversary. I don't normally think about them on September 4 but because I've been blogging every day and today is no exception they're on my mind. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary if they were still alive. I know that I'll see them one day, but today I'm missing them tremendously. Seems as though the older I get the more I miss them and the more I want to share with them. Dad's been gone for 3 years and mom for 23 years. Just seems like yesterday.

Today's layout was done for a challenge at Weeds and Wildflowers forum. It was an Ad Challenge... an Ikea ad to be specific! Love that store. lol This layout was done using pieces from 3 Weeds and Wildflowers kits: Gingham Gallop, Breath of Fresh Air and Life 365. And yes I know it seems as though I've scraped these photos already, but I took bunches of this sunset and I don't know which ones I've used and which are still waiting for me.

Sept 2

Another beach picture! I don't know if I'll ever finish these up. lol This layout uses the benefit collaboration kit Divine Hope found at Divine Digital.

Sept 1

Another picture from the beach pictures. This one of my middle daughter. She does the funniest things so I had to use a fun kit. For this layout I used the kit Tutti Frutti by CaptivatedVisions. The stitches on the layout came from Weeds and Wildflowers Life 365 kit. The orange buttons and label are cu items that came from my stash and colored by me.

Aug 31

For 2 years the deer have eaten on my roses, so much so that I thought the plants would die this year they did so poorly at first. This rose was the only one at the beginning of June. This past month they have been blooming like crazy, but the alas, the deer are back and eating the new buds. I did take a few pictures so I guess I'll have to scrap those soon. I used Linda Walton's kit Oopsie Daisy.
