Welcome to the May Cape Cod Blog Hop! If you came here from Anne's blog you're on the right track. If not, you might want to start at Club Scrap Creates blog where the complete list of bloggers is located.

This kit is a wonderfully versatile kit. With yummy red, white & blue colors with a splash of grey it can be used for light houses, beach pictures, patriotic layouts/cards, etc. I have a card and a layout to share with you today. You can pick it up here.

The card highlights the stencil that came in the kit. I started out with the white printed card stock. I then stenciled CS WOW Red and CS Sapphire blue inks. It made a nice grid. The edges were distressed with the Tonic paper distresser tool. Then CS Ash ink was brushed onto the edges. After all was dry I painted white acrylic paint in the center. The sentiment was stamped after the paint dried. The light house was stamped on a white piece of card stock, colored/painted with water color pencils and then cut out and attached with foam squares for some dimension. The red striped ribbon came in the embellishment side of the kit.

The layout was done using the Cape Cod digital kit and a blended template by Studio Rosey Posey. I love how my pictures of the Pacific Ocean beach goes with Cape Cod!

Thank you again for joining me. Hope you like my projects! Your next stop is Jen's blog.

Mother's Day Basket

I just had to take this picture of the basket I received from my family for Mother's Day and turn it into a layout. I used the free May Blog template from Scrap Orchard by Scrapping with Liz and paired it with the Endearing kit by Studio Rosey Posey. Thanks for looking!

New layout

I did a little digital layout today. I was browsing through my pictures and found these of my youngest grand daughter. I used a kit by Studio Rosey Posey called As Long As You Love Me. I love her art backgrounds. I also used one of her blended templates. Thanks for looking!

I have not been able to play since the last blog hop. I was hoping to make the rest of my art paper into cards, but it just hasn't happened. With the end of the year stuff with school, a senior graduating and piano recitals I don't think I will have much time to play. This was a card I did yesterday however. I was playing with a new stencil that I got from Club Scrap. Their WOW Spring (weekend of workshops) kit came at the beginning of the month and I needed to play with the stamps and the stencil that work together. Love the flowers! I stamped the flowers first with Club Scrap's India Ink and then stenciled the large flower & leaf with several ink colors. I colored the half flowers with Copic markers (that my kids gave me for Christmas this past year). The background was colored with gelatos. The gems came from Club Scrap's Spring Chorus kit. All the paper is from Club Scrap. Thanks for looking!

iNSD Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop! If you didn't come here from Anne Marie's blog, please click the blog hop button on the left or here to start at the beginning. You don't want to miss any of the blogs and the wonderful projects being shared.

I've been playing this week with paints, stencils, ink and gesso. I started out with a blank sheet of dark blue card stock from Club Scrap's Spring Chorus kit. I painted a layer of gesso and then layered stencils with ink, Twinkling H2O's, and acrylic paint. This first picture shows what I painted. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the canvas before I cut it up.

This next picture is the first card that I've made with the canvas. I used white acrylic paint underneath the sentiment stamp. As it was drying I realized that it picked up some of the color from the water colors (Twinkling H2O's). I was pretty happy with the background. The picture doesn't show how shimmery it is from the Twinkling H2O's.

Thanks for coming! Your next stop along the way is Jen.
