March Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's March Blog Hop! This month we're playing with the Bookshelves kit. When it showed up at the beginning of the month I loved everything about it and knew immediately what I wanted to make with it. My favorite activity is reading. I'm a fast reader so I read a lot of books every year. I have never kept track of what I have read and always wish I had. So out of this month kit I made myself a journal to keep track of all the books that come through my hands. The book I'm sharing today was originally a project in the 2005 Road Trip stamp kit. All the papers & stamps come from the Bookshelves kit. The embellishments come from various other kits out of my odds and ends box. Before I stitched the book together I inked the edges of the paper to make it look like an old book. The book used 17 sheets of 8.5 x 11 inch card stock, 3 yards of waxed linen thread, (2) 5.75 x 8.75 pieces of book board, (2) 1 x 5 inch strips of paper and various embellishments. The best thing is I still have paper leftover to make a few cards or layouts if I want to. Love these kits!

Art Medium Challenge

I'm getting excited about the Club Scrap Blog hop that is happening on Wednesday. Do come back then!

I have a few cards from this weeks challenge at Club Scrap's PSL. We were challenged to use an art medium on our page/card. I find this a fun challenge. All the cards use paper from Club Scrap.

This card I painted a background with LuminArte's Twinkling H2O's. Then I used a stamp from the Come Sail Away kit and a sentiment from their Adobe kit.

Twinkling H2O's were used to paint this card as well. The stamp is from Nature's Wonder and the sentiment from Greetings For a Year.

I used stamps and the stencil from the Sorrento kit to make this card. The stencil was laid on top of paper and sprayed with Memories Mists. I then oversprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. After cutting the paper to size I stamped the border and used copper foil embossing powder. .

This card is also made from the paper I created for the previous card. The stamp is from the Serenity kit.

This card uses a stamp from Wildflowers, one of my favorite kits from Club Scrap. The sentiment is from With Sympathy. The background was created using Glimmer mists.

This uses the same stamp as the previous card. I stamped on a background painted with Twinkling H2O's.

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Thought I would post a couple of cards that I made specifically for men. These types of cards are harder for me since I love making floral/frilly cards. I used papers from Club Scrap's Bon Appetit kit and stamps from their Orient Express and Haberdashery kit.

Here are a few of my favorite cards from last weeks challenge at Club Scrap. We were to use dimensional embellishments. Usually not a difficulty. These cards are made from Club Scrap's Bon Appetit stamp kit. I used stamps from Papillon, Welcome, Wildflowers, Be Wonderful, Bon Appetit, Generations and Serenity kits.

I've been a bit overwhelmed lately with life. I'm home schooling my youngest these days and it seems to take more out of my day than I plan. If I go missing do come back on March 27 for Club Scrap's blog hop. I'll have something new up then!

Here are a few of my favorites from last weeks challenge at Club Scrap's PSL which was to use a sentiment stamp. Super easy! These cards are made using my favorite kit Just Dandy, Club Scrap inks and Faber-Castell's gelatos.

Sharing a few more cards from last weeks challenge. Once again they're all made with Club Scrap's Peacock kit.

These next 3 cards are also made with the Peacock kit. The first card I stamped a peacock feather image using Galaxy Gold Brilliance ink. I stamped both the purple background and the image behind the sentiment. The sentiment came from the Nature's Wonder kit.

This next card I used Spellbinder's Labels 4. The sentiment is from the Aurora Borealis kit.

This cards sentiment is from the Reaching Out kit.

Thought I would share some of the cards I made for last weeks PSL. These were all made using Club Scrap's Peacock kit. some of the papers are gorgeous. On the first card, the red paper has gold metallic over print on it. The picture doesn't do it justice. And even though it looks as though it is a white card base, it is actually a metallic gold. The sentiment on this first card came from the Comfort Zone kit.

The stamped sentiment on this next card came from an old kit called Nature's Wonders

The stamped sentiment on this card also came from an old kit called Painted Desert.
