Lock & Key Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's Lock & Key Blog hop. So glad you could join us! There are lots of amazing projects so if you didn't start at the beginning you might want to go to Club Scrap Creates. There is a list of all the bloggers.

I've done a book again for this hop. The papers, to me, wanted to be in a book just like Bookshelves. I didn't do a stitch bound book like Bookshelves but used my Bind-It-All like I did for my planner. Papers, fibers, sequin embellishments and stamps are from the Lock & Key kit. Beads are from various kits.

I started out choosing which papers were going to be inside pages and which paper would be best for the cover. I then inked up the edges and stamped images on the pages.

Next I punched the holes with the Bind-It-All and bound the pages and covers together.

There was some luscious hand made paper this month so I used it and some lovely copper lace for the cover.

The next 3 images are of the inside pages. I decorated some of them with the cut-outs that came in the embellishment side.

And the finished book.

Thank you for looking! Your next stop on the way is Shona's blog at Shona Scraps.

Tricia at Club Scrap Creates did a post on making a set of Sympathy cards. I loved how they turned out. She challenged us to make a set of our own using our choice of paper and stamps. I ended up using the same stamps, but I pulled out some of my most favorite papers. They're from the Autumn Splendor kit that came out in 2004. The first card I used an embossing folder from Sizzix with a gold metalic gelato to highlight the leaves. The 3rd card uses a Cricut embossing folder. I did not clip the paper to make it look like a ribbon on this card since I used a leaf embossing folder that just fit on this strip of paper. The photo doesn't show it very well. The leaf stamp on the second card is from Autumn Splendor. That stamp looked as though I hadn't ever used it. Amazing! I love my leaf stamps and use them all the time.
