Club Scrap's Navigation Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's Navigation Blog Hop! I'm so glad you came. If this is your first stop, please go here and get the list of all the blog's in the hop. You won't want to miss any of the projects that are being shared.

Today's project is a journal that I'm using in the coming year as a place for art that is inspired by scripture. I've been wanting to do an art journal for some time and I've been wanting a place to put some of the verses in the Bible that have really spoken to me in my studies so this journal will be that book. I have included plain white pages that are heavy enough so that I can glue loose pages to them and that I can use for different kinds of art mediums. I'm looking forward to working on this.

Using my Silhouette I cut out of the cardstock 12 dividers, one for each month. I stamped the months on the tabs using my favorite Weekly Chronicles stamps (retired).

Here are some of the decorated dividers.

And the finished art jounal. Thank you for looking! Your next stop on the way is Hetty!

Christmas Ornaments

Ok, life is amazing! Amazingly busy. I forget from year to year just how full my life is from right before Thanksgiving through Christmas. So, I thought I would share a picture of something that I was involved with. Every year I participate in an ornament exchange in a Christmas group that I'm in. I made these ornaments to share. They were very easy and quick to put together. I got the pattern for them here. I also made them for my family... 15 of them but they have different colored bells on the top.

Club Scrap Big Top Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's Big Top blog hop!  I'm happy that you stopped by. If this is your first stop, you might want to go here to check out the whole list of hops. I wouldn't want you to miss any of the stops along the way.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this month's kit. My kids are mostly grown-up and not interested in going to a circus. At least the one's who aren't married and don't have kids. My oldest daughter called me one evening to chat and she mentioned that her husband was going to take their oldest daughter to the circus that weekend. I love coinkydinks like this one. I told her I just happened to have the perfect kit to go with the pictures that were going to be taken and please make sure that pictures are taken! She told me later that this was going to be the last tour of the circus with their elephants. So sad.

Anyway, I decided a mini book would be the best way to go for little fingers to go back and look at the pictures from that memorable day. So I pulled out my Silhouette again and cut out what I needed for a 4 x 6 pocket album. Last month the cards pulled out from the top of the pocket. This month they pull out like library cards.

This picture shows the book ready to assemble. I inked all the edges before assembling.

I love this animal print that was included. Made me remember all the times I went to the circus. The elephants were always my favorite.

There is space for 18 photos and/or memorabilia. I cut the cards to make them look like tickets. There was cute striped Washi tape as well in the kit and I used it in a couple of places.

Part of the cut outs were index tabs. They are so cute. And of course I had to use them on the cards embellished with ribbon stapled on by my trusty Toto.

A couple of the inside pages. Four of the pockets had this blue print on them that I embellished with ribbon that came with the kit. Two of the pockets were made from green print paper that was great on their own. I didn't want to add too much and make the book too bulky to close when the photos were added.

And the cover. Make sure you click on the photos if you want a close up. I'm excited since while you're looking at this my granddaughter will be helping me add the photos. Hope you enjoyed my project!

Thank you for looking. Your next stop on the hop is Lisa!

Masterpiece

A new layout of my youngest grand daughter. My youngest has been sick this month so I haven't had a chance to go visit my grands. They're getting so big!

This layout uses a template from Creative Blending vol. 18 by PrelestnayaP Designs. They're even on sale still. I used bits and pieces from several kits. They were originally part of the May 2015 Pickle Barrel at Pickleberrypop. I used Every Single Day by Fayette Designs, Sherbet Inspiration by Vero, Masterpiece in Motion by Jumpstart Designs and No Limits by Tiramisu Design.

Autumn

I have another layout for you this month! It is a couple of pictures from 5 years ago. The trees haven't been showing their colors yet this year. Hopefully they will, but I don't know if we will get a freeze to make it happen.

I used this month's free template by Kimeric Kreations. The kit used is from the Digital Scrapbooking Studio's Family Coordinated Collection. The pieces were $1 each. I do not know how long they are still at that price.

Transformations Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's Transformations blog hop. So glad that you're here! If this is your first stop, please go to the first stop to check the list of bloggers so that you don't miss out on any of the awesome projects.

This month's kit has lots of luscious, soothing colors. I wasn't really sure at first what I wanted to do with the kit. I really didn't want to cut it up. But then I got to thinking about how I've been in denial this past year that my kids are growing/grown up. However, this past summer my oldest nephew was married and it hit me that out of 6 kiddos only the youngest child still lives at home and she is a sophomore in high school. The next oldest is a sophomore in college. Yikes! I'm losing my slave labor chore helpers. Since it has been 25+ years since I've had to do all the chores around the house (6 kids help a lot with getting chores done) I decided to do up a booklet to help me remember just what needs to be done each day. I chose a mini album that I have in my Silhouette library. This one has 6 envelopes with tabbed cards. I used a mix of papers, stamps and embellishments that came with the kit to cut out and decorate my chore card system. The day stamps and the line/journaling stamp are retired Club Scrap stamps from Weekly Chronicles and Just Dandy kits respectively.

Hope you enjoy my project!

These are the pieces.

All put together. I couldn't find instructions anywhere on how to put this mini book together. Took just a wee bit of time figuring it out.

The cards after being stamped. I haven't added the chores yet. Didn't think you needed to see my lists since I know you have lists of your own. Just fill in the blank. :)

A close up of the envelope pages with tabbed cards.

A picture of the front cover. I used a self-adhesive Velcro circle to hold it closed. The coin is from the kit and the Gingko leaf was stamped and then colored over using the stencil that came in the kit and popped up with those nice little foam squares.

And the final picture of it open.

Woven Strands Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's Woven Strands blog hop! I'm so glad that you stopped by. If this is your first stop, please go here and check out the list of all the bloggers. You won't want to miss any of the projects being shared today.

I needed a gift for a special person in my life and so I thought I would do wall art again but this time in a frame. I don't have step-by-steps to show you this month, only the final picture.

The design on the white paper was begging to be cut out and matted. Using a craft knife I carefully cut out the inside of the designs. I tried multiple colors behind it and decided the burgandy paper was a perfect match. The white mat for the sentiment was first stamped with a tree image in CS Sandstone and the sentiment stamped on top with CS India ink. It is matted with the same burgandy paper and with the dark green paper with a silver embroidered accent which came in the kit. I finished it off with a few of the rhinestones that also came in the kit.

I have a layout to share with you as well using the digital kit. Everything is from Woven Strands digital kit except the mask used on the photo which came from my stash and the distressed edge overlay which came from CS Arts n Crafts digital kit.

Your next stop in the hop is Donna!

Masks

The day we went to see our new grand daughter I took a craft along to do with her sister. Well, brother got into the act as well and they were so cute wearing their masks. It was quite difficult to get them to look at me with them on. The little man wanted it off as quick as he had wanted it on. His sister wore her's a much longer time. Next time I go visit I will need to take another craft along.

For this layout everything I used is from Let's Celebrate by Hat of Bunny except for the butterfly and leaves which came out of other kits and the mask which came with the template. The template is from Royale template set by Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs.

Club Scrap Cantina Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's Cantina blog hop! I'm so glad you're here. If this is your first stop, you might want to go here to see the list of bloggers so that you don't miss any of the wonderful projects shared today.

One of the stamps in this kit caught my eye. I thought it would be appropriate to use it on a canvas to hang in my kitchen. At one point it seemed I spent all my time in the kitchen. Having 6 kiddo's will do that to you. Now I only have one at home, at least during the school year, and I don't spend near as much time in the kitchen but I know that the kids will enjoy the wall art when they are visiting.

First I painted the 10 x 10 inch canvas. I used Club Scrap neon inks for my paint. I dribbled re-inkers on a non-stick surface and wiped the canvas on it and then used a brush to add more color and fill in the empty places. I decided part of it needed to be muted so I added several layers of white acrylic paint. On the left I used a stencil for some texture using gesso.

Next I stamped some flowers on white tissue paper using the neon inks. These were torn out and glued to the bottom of the canvas. Some of the tissue disappears onto the canvas and some shows. I love the look it gave.

The deluxe kit came with a stencil, so I used the cute banner part of the stencil to make myself a banner. I cut it out along with a narrow strip at the top which I colored using a silver marker. This was attached along the top of the canvas with dimensional glue dots.

I printed the saying on a piece of vellum and attached it to the canvas using the super cute button brads that came in the Deluxe kit.

Thank you so much for looking! Your next stop on the way is Kay.
