London Calling Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's London Calling Blog Hop! If this is your first stop please go back to the beginning and check out the other blogs. All the projects are inspiring and you won't want to miss any of them.

When I saw first saw the London Calling digital kit I knew I had the perfect photos to use. My little grandson turned one last month and his mom did a smash cake photo shoot with him. So adorable! But I am a little bit biased.

This first layout uses one of the papers and an overlay of London for the background paper. I added the photo mask that came with the kit and clipped a close up of the cake with his little hand to it. The cake title used the alpha that was in the kit. For the tag cluster I used a premade cluster that included the ribbons and clip and added the tag. There weren't any tags in the kit, so I pulled one out of my stash and clipped one of the kit papers to it and stamped the phone booth on it to decorate. A button was also added to the tag.

The next 2 layouts use the same photos. I wanted to show you how using different templates, but the same photos and kit can give you completely different looks.

The first layout I used a couple of stamps to decorate the triangles. I also used the moustache stamp to decorate one of the photos.

The last layout was a Christmas template but I loved the big photo area. All you have to do to use a template for other occasions is to replace the Christmas items with the elements of your choice. The elements on a template are just place holders and suggestions. I ended up using clock faces, gear flower and gears from Club Scrap's Time of Your Life digital kit, greenery from Castaway digital kit, staples from Gratitude expansion digital kit and bottle caps from Bold Blooms digital kit.

I couldn't decide which layout I liked better. Guess I'll have to ask my daughter-in-law which one she likes since it will be going into a book for her.

Thank you looking! Kay is your next stop in the hop. You won't want to miss what she is sharing today.

Spring Hope

Just sharing a layout of my currently blooming flowers today. I love this time of year and seeing all the flowers that are coming out. These 2 flowers are usually the first, but I don't think I have ever seen them this early. Unlike the East coast we have had an unusually warm winter.

I used a template from Imagination Vol 1 by Prelestnaya. The kit I used is from this months Pickle Barrel at Pickleberrypop. I picked up the 6 pack by Laura Berger and the 6 pack by Tiramisu.

Blog Hop Project

Here is the project that I started for Club Scrap's Valentine blog hop. It was from their My Funny Valentine special edition kit from 2011. The project came with the book board pieces to make the box, the ribbon, a wood heart, a 12 x 12 translucent print paper and an 8 1/2 x 11 plain pink paper. Using the stencil that came with the paper kit you were to cut out 9 hearts and alter as you wished. I used some Dazzle heart stickers that I had on some of the hearts. In the paper kit there was a text weight print collage so I used some of that for a few of the hearts. I used the stamps that came with the kit to stamp the wood heart and one of the pink hearts. I also used some Washi tape that I had in my stash for the edges of the box. I really like how it turned out. Thanks for looking!

CS Valentine Blog Hop

Welcome to Club Scrap's Valentine blog hop! I'm so glad you could join us. If this is your first stop, you will want to make sure you go here to see the whole list of participants. I know that the projects shared are awesome!

Well, I ended up visiting my oldest granddaughter this past week and couldn't finish up my project that I had started, so I'm sharing a few digital layouts with you that showcase a couple of Valentine digital kits that Club Scrap has.

The first 2 layouts are what they call QDDL's. They're super easy to use. All you do is add pictures! These are from the My Funny Valentine digital kit. I wish I would have had time to use a template to show off some of the papers and elements that came in this kit.

This next layout uses a template that I had in my stash. I collect templates and have quite a few of them. They are awesome and just about as fast as the QDDL's. With templates you use the papers and elements that you want. The template has suggestions for where elements should be placed. For this layout I used Club Scrap's Love Blooms digital kit.

Snow Day

I found a bunch of pictures of my oldest granddaughter that I hadn't scrapped yet. I used a template from Artsy Winter Joy by Fiddle-dee-dee Designs and All Bundled Up kit by Amber Shaw.

January 2015 Project 365

I've decided that I'll just use the templates that I have for this years layouts. I have so many kits that I'm going to use 1 kit for each month. I'll just choose a current favorite. I want to stay on top of these and if I make it as easy as possible I'll be able to get them done.

The templates used for this month are from Weeds and Wildflowers Project 365 kit (retired). The kit used is Have Faith Collection by Kimeric Kreations. All of the layouts are done on a plain white background showing a 1/2 inch border. That was to make it easier to print up.

December 2014 Project 365

Here are December's pages. Everything used is from Weeds & Wildflowers, except the long white ornament on the last page. That came from my stash and I'm not sure which kit it came out of... an old one. For the last page I used a template from Capture Your December 4 by Fiddle-dee-dee Designs.
